How to Update Phoenix OS Kernel
Step 01. First, unzip the APT ToolBox from the zip file and place it on the Local Disk C:/
Step 02. Copy the system.img of Phoenix OS and place it in the “in” folder.
Step 03. Rename the downloaded kernel_xxx.zip to the kernel.zip and put it in the “tools” folder.
Step 04. Unpack the system.img by running the “APT.exe” and selecting option number 2 (system.img unpack).
Step 05. When the unpacking is complete, select option 5 (PHOENIX SPECIAL TOOL) and press Enter.
Step 06. To upgrade or change the kernel, select the “G (Update Kernel Version)” option and press Enter.
Step 07. Select options “A (Special Kernel)”, and press Enter. [Don’t use 1 to 4 option]
When finished, please type c:\ apt, then the kernel files will go to the APT folder.
Step 08. To repack the system, select option number “4 (Repack system.img)” and press Enter.
Step 09. Select “1 (Repack System.img PhoenixOS)” then Enter. Or to add the special size and repack, select option number “5 (Special Size)” and press Enter.
Done, the system.img file with the latest kernel is in the “out” folder.
Step 10. Finally, When the repacked is complete, replace the kernel file, and the newly repack system.img in the Phoenix OS installation folder.
